10 FACTS ABOUT HARPER'S ROCK, WYOMING

Harper's Rock, Wyoming, is located in northern Wyoming at about the spot where Buffalo is located. It is a completely fictional town made from the author's imagination.

Harper's Rock is the home of Movie and a Pizza Place. It is the place to go in the region. You can get pizza and wings, catch a movie, and play in the arcade. 

The local grocery store is owned by descendants of the founding family. Logan Harper welcomes you to the store where you'll find a bit of everything you might need in a small town.

Harper's Rock was built on ranching, and many of the local ranchers consider themselves royalty and expect their kids to follow in their not-so-nice footsteps. 

The death of a favorite son in the 90s has left a legacy that turned the town from intolerant to healing and accepting.

 The town is built around a very, very large granite rock. Josiah Harper first camped there, and the town built up around him. 

City Center Park spreads over many acres near the rock. If you want to barbecue, let the kids play, hold a concert, hike the rock, or any number of other outdoor activities, this is the place to do it.

Downtown Harper's Rock is the stereotypical old western town with false-fronted buildings. A horse tied to one of the posts that line the sidewalk would look more fitting than a modern car parked on an angle in front of the building.

Harper's Rock is the home of an equine camp for children with autism. It was opened by Russell and Emily Harper so they could help kids like their own daughter, Miranda. 

Harper's Rock is the ideal place to go for a trail ride or a week-long wilderness getaway. If you want to go fishing or hunting, call Dylan Harper (Son of Evie, brother of Ben), and he'll set you up on one of his famous treks into the nearby mountains and forests.
